Easter Craft

  • Easter egg mould.
  • Good quality melting chocolate. 80% Cocoa.
  • Pastry brush.
  • Method

    Melt sufficient chocolate to coat the mould with the first layer. Use a microwave oven and pulse the chocolate for 20 second spats on full power, stir return to oven repeatedly until melted.

    Brush chocolate in a thin layer onto each half of the mould. Set aside in the refrigerator to cool.

    Prepare a second layer. Repeat the process, once your Easter egg has hardened, carefully remove from mould. Sandwich the two halves together with a little extra chocolate. Once completely set. Decorate as desired.

    Chocolate nests.

    Ingredients

    • Chow Mein noodles.
    • Melted Chocolate as above.
    • Colorful candy such a jelly babies or miniature eggs for decoration.
    • Break up the noodles into app 15 and 20 cm lengths. Dip in melted chocolate. Lay on grease proof paper. Form into birds nest shapes by hand. Allow to Set in fridge. Decorate with jelly babies and mini eggs.
